LACEY~ soft as a chinchilla, sweet as pie, lucky as a 4leaf clover until today

she must have been killed this morning or late last night. She only ever went out in winter, she loved the cold weather with her warm soft coat. She came to me last night with her meowtalk, and asked me to let her out... I did...it always makes me feel sick after I let them out ( I don't like any cats to be outside) but I do...they want it, they are happy about it, and that makes me happy...til I find them lying on the road. She was hit 4yrs ago, broke both her back legs, she healed up and she didn't even limp. I guess she forgot about the road it had been so long ago...

TODAY at the feeder~ filled with sunflower chips and raisins, they sure are popular

Just received my brand new Nikon D3200, now just to figure out how to use it!
Ken Rockwell is a great teacher of photography and reviewer of cameras, and I have learned much from  him .  These are the very first bird photos taken in the morning, then by afternoon hopefully  you can see my knowledge has increased, still a long way to go with white balance etc...but I sure love this camera!

winter birds~ the brave, the tough, the chilly and the hungry

Female Cardinal with seed

I suppose they are all the same birds one after another,
but

I find they always have different expressions and positions...
goldfinch on goldenrod finding seeds

you can see and feel it in their feather language...

awaiting a turn at the feeder full of raisins, nuts and sunflower chips

this one is plain tired...

new "birder" sort of person... just a few weeks actually
